It’s not that people don’t care…
it’s that they don t know.
We, as a society, have enjoyed clean air, clean highways, and smoke-free airplanes all because people got angry enough about injustice that they did something about it. Yet, people in general don’t seem to even be aware of how often kids are being abused and neglected, let alone join a campaign to stop the injustice.
Why is that?
The average cost to kennel your dog is $23 a day.
A foster family is paid less than $17 to care for a nine year-old child.

Why is that?
In our society, human-services are not reimbursed on par with other government-purchased services, particularly children's mental health. In Montana, highways are reimbursed at 100%, children at 70%.
Why is that?
There is a chronic shortage of foster care homes. Yet there is an over abundance of children in need of safe, healthy homes.
Why is that?
There is no single voice in Montana for vulnerable children. No cohesive effort to change life for kids in the areas of child well being, safety, health, school success, and economic stability for their families.
